ABOUT SEEDBOAT STUDIO
Side by side with Seedboat Gallery is the Seedboat Studio, a digital recording studio and performance space. Designed as a small and intimate venue, the space accommodates fewer than 50 audience members. It features a modular stage configurable as a platform, runway, or arena-style theater-in-the-round. Newly constructed facilities include two wheelchair-accessible restrooms and a beautiful office complete with ticket window.
PERFORMANCE AS ART
The defining concept for the Seedboat Studio is presentation of performance art as art, rather than mere entertainment. That's not to say that the performances we host will not be entertaining—certainly we intend them to be—but the main goal is the same as all true art: to express something essential about the human condition and, hopefully, connect and inspire members of the audience.
RECORDING STUDIO
Inside the studio is a piece of equipment that transforms the place into a unique facility: a soundproof control room. This is 
a state-of-the-art, 16-track, digital recording studio and production house featuring Pro Tools 9 industry-standard audio software. When there are no performances, the space functions as a regular studio, recording music and voice-over sessions. When there are performances, the studio provides an unparalleled opportunity for live recording in a perfectly acoustically-tuned space.
PERFORMANCE ART OF MANY KINDS
Music is not the only performance art we'll present. The Seedboat plans to have small-scale theatrical productions, film and video, dance, poetry readings and slams, book readings, pure art performances, workshops, interactive installations, and many more happenings. The sky is the limit.
